Small & Large Family Cabins

We offer two-bedroom family cabins and single-room cabins. Our larger rentals are a popular choice for the family who needs extra space, while those who prefer a more communal experience choose our single-room accommodations. 

Both styles provide in-cabin games for quality family time, plus amenities to make your stay more enjoyable, including air conditioning, a single-cup coffee brewer, electric kettle, mini fridge, Wi-Fi, and Alexa radio entertainment.

Though the knotty pine paneling feels rustic, the modern amenities in our one-room cabins make every guest comfortable. These cabins offer 400 square feet of living space inside, plus a 100-square-foot covered porch outside. The combined living area and bedrooms give the space a charming, camp-like feel. The queen bed and a set of bunk beds can accommodate up to four guests. Seating off to the side provides an area for playing games and visiting. For outdoorsy families, this cabin provides the essentials for a good night’s rest and makes an ideal home base for snacks or a quick change before the next adventure.

Our two-bedroom cabins provide 600 square feet of space with two separate bedrooms, one with a king bed and one with a pair of twins, plus a pull-out queen sofa to comfortably sleep six guests. Sliding barn doors provide extra privacy for each bedroom. The dedicated living area features comfortable seating with space for playing family games or lounging. The private 100-square-foot deck is ideal for your morning coffee or evening wind-down, and the forest provides a serene backdrop any time of day.

Private Single-Family Lodging

Kay’s Nest is a two-story cabin for the family who needs more entertainment and amenities within their rental. This 1,500-square-foot, non-smoking cabin accommodates four guests in its single loft bedroom, which comes furnished with a king bed and queen sleeper sofa.

In the lower level of Kay’s Nest, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen for cooking, in-cabin laundry, satellite television, and a large bonus room with a pool table, game table, and bar area. Getting Married In Yosemite National Park

Here are a few things to remember, if you plan to hold your wedding ceremony within Yosemite National Park: 

• A wedding permit must be obtained. The non-refundable permit and application fee is $150.
• Permits may be obtained at least 21 days in advance and up to one year in advance. 
• Your permit is only valid for a two-hour time slot.
• A park official will be required to monitor your ceremony if you have 30-50 guests* or more. This is an additional $50 per hour. 
• If you plan to have a photographer and the photos will be used commercially, there is an additional fee of $150 for a film/photo permit. 
• Park entrance fees will still apply, regardless of permits acquired. 
• Wedding parties of 11 people or less are not restricted to the list of wedding ceremony locations. If your party is over 11, check the wedding ceremony locations for capacity and accessibility limitations. 
• Seasonality and weather may prevent certain ceremony locations from being accessed. 
• While your location and time have been reserved with Yosemite’s Special Park Uses program manager, other visitors within the park may disrupt your ceremony. An early morning or late evening ceremony is recommended to avoid this issue. 
• No weddings are permitted on holidays or holiday weekends. 
• No pets are allowed. 
• No microphones, large speakers or decorations are allowed. 
• You are not allowed to throw birdseye, rice or flower petals.
• Be aware of the flowers used for your bouquets and boutonnières. The park recommends the use of hardy flowers that are native to the area. Baby’s breath is prohibited.

The best time to visit Yosemite for hiking depends on the hiker – while late May and early September are the most popular times to visit due to smaller crowds and mild temperatures, there are trails fit for every time of year in Yosemite.

Visit Yosemite for Hiking in the Spring

Those who visit Yosemite for hiking in the spring can expect temperatures from the mid-30s to 60s (Fahrenheit). As the snow begins to melt, the waterfalls in Yosemite rush at their full capacity.

The temperatures range from the 90s in the valleys to the 70s in the mountains during the day, and dip into the 40s when the sun goes down.

Glacier Point beyond the Ski Area, Tioga, and Mariposa Grove Road are all closed during the winter due to snow, which means the eastern entrance of the park is not accessible.
